303 Cleaning ProductsBreathable fabrics such as boat and boatlift covers, awnings and outdoor furniture covers are treated with a chemical during manufacturing to make them water repellent and help them resist soiling. Over time the original water repellency diminishes making periodic cleaning and retreatment necessary.
Brush, shake or vacuum off and hose down to remove loose dirt. If needed, use a mild natural soap (such as Ivory) in lukewarm water with a soft bristle brush or sponge. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely. You can now retreat with a fabric guard to restore water and stain repellency. Vinyl items (canopies, towables and water trampolines) can be highly susceptible to abrasion. Whether installing, cleaning or storing, always lift and carry, even on a soft surface such as a lawn. Dragging large heavy vinyl items creates damaging friction. Always make sure items are completely dry before storing. Putting them in a storage container also helps to discourage animals from nibbling and nesting. |
